I just wanted to say that I just found this thread and wanted to pass on my sincere appreciation to Khun Tui, Khun Greg and all the crew at VW Showtime for the immense opportunity they provided for me to drive their Bug in this race last year. They all treated me first rate and I felt really comfortable with all of them and had very little pressure on the weekend which was the major contribution to my good result.

They don't know it even though I tried to tell them many times but that was the first time I've had anyone believe in me to that extent after decades of having to self promote seeming arrogant or egotistical to some who don't know the intensive self confidence it takes to accomplish such goals and years of nothing here in Asia knowing I can bring the results to a program who showed such faith to offer that and I was probably a bit too proud of my own accomplishment with all of the learning curve I had to deal with on the weekend to make it clear how much their faith in me really meant, I'm not too proud to say it here openly in public that I was most choked up with emotions on the cool down lap following..

I am honored by the praise Khun Tui has written here on my performance on the weekend but it was an entire team effort and when I asked for changes to the car even though at times they thought I was a crazy farang by the looks on their faces they did it and the end result was a positive one that speaks for itself that we can all be proud of, I was really hoping to have more in the future with VW Showtime and proudly carry their banner to the front which was well in sight, though sadly that seems not to be..

I found out later that this car also has a very big sentimental value for Khun Tui having been given to him by his father and not just some former junker converted to a race car with little but monetary value to him, basically irreplaceable and he trusted me to drive it, leaves me humbled.

I'm glad I didn't know that before hand but it magnifies the trust he put in a virtual stranger at the time and to me that is a first rate person I can not thank enough nor relate how much that means to me, words fail me..

Again kop khun krab Khun Tui, Greg and everyone there at VW Showtime I wish we had more to do together, we'd accomplish big things as a team..

Regardless of whatever happened that scuttled our racing plans I will always consider him to be a first rate person I'm proud to have called a friend.. Good luck this season VW Showtime and in the future, if I can help advise don't hesitate to call..

Tui well done at Baeng Saen with that Alfa, you drove splendidly, especially considering the obstacles I know you were up against in not having your equipment up to full spec and the proper suspension set up..
